The galabeeyah (galabeya or jellabiya) was the traditional Egyptian garment native to the Nile Valley.

Films like the Sherlock Holmes series, the Wizard of OZ and Peter Pan showcased the fashions of the time.
Elizabeth Peters' "Amelia Peabody" books were the inspiration for this series of garments.
