Fit Models
This page has a table of measurements of the dolls I have as current Fit Models. Given the
current range of companies making BJDs, no one can have a model from every company! You can
compare the doll you have with these measurements to see how similar a given body might be.
The Fantasy and Medieval gown patterns were developed when a more varied set of bodies
were in residence. The stretch material is very forgiving of body sizes, and I am
including photos of the Fantasy and Medieval gowns on various bodies to show that the
fit is good on a range of body sizes.
The more fitted gowns, such as Regency or Victorian, may fit a much narrower range
of bodies, so comparison of measurements may be more important.

My suggestion for greatest ease in putting on the Fantasy and Medieval gowns is to:
- draw the gown up over the feet to the waist;
- then slip the arms carefully into the sleeves;
- then draw the gown up to the shoulders.
- If using over-sleeves, then slide the over-sleeve over the attached sleeve.
- If using under-sleeves, it may be easier to put the under-sleeve on
before the gown, then draw on the gown, holding onto the pointed tip of
under-sleeve.
Both the lightweight panne' and the lush, heavy velvet are four way stretch material and are
very resilient. You should be able to have your gals wear these gowns many times!
Most gowns have been sewn with lighter thread color than the gown color to minimize the
danger of staining. However, it must be noted that dark cloth can still stain our dolls if
left in place for a 'long time period'. I've left some of my gowns on for months at a time,
but one must still have care with darker material!!

intended as ADULT collectible items - NOT intended for children under
age 13. These are not children's toys.
